His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has announced the release of 650 prisoners, ahead of Eid Al Adha.
Dubai Public Prosecution, along with Dubai Police, have started the legal procedures for the release of prisoners from various correctional facilities in Dubai.
The release aims to give prisoners the opportunity to start afresh and reunite with their families.
To mark Eid Al Adha, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, also announced the release of 988 prisoners.
