Dubai Private Schools Rated High For Inclusive Learning

Students of determination benefit more from inclusive learning at private schools in Dubai.

According to the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), 146 private schools in Dubai were rated 'Good' or 'Better' for inclusion in the 2021 to 2022 inspections, when compared to 121 private schools during the last full inspection cycle in 2018 to 2019.

Private schools rated 'Outstanding' for inclusive learning increased from 7% in the inspections during 2018 to 2019, to 12% in the 2021 to 2022 inspections.

'Outstanding' ratings were given to 24 private schools for their inclusive education programmes, 48 received 'Very Good' and 75 private schools were rated 'Good', during the 2021 to 2022 inspections.

Additionally, 45 private schools were rated 'Acceptable' for students of determination. 

The private schools in Dubai were evaluated in modifying the curriculum to fit the needs of students of determination.

Dr Abdulla Al Karam, Director General of KHDA said, "A true mark of a high-quality education sector is in how well it inspires and enables students of all abilities to strive for their best. Private schools in Dubai have made great progress in reducing barriers to learning and ensuring equitable access to education."
