UAE And Qatar Reopen Embassies

WAM

Embassies in the UAE and Qatar have now reopened, following the two countries restoring ties.

As announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, work has resumed at the Embassy of the UAE in Doha, and at the Embassy of Qatar in Abu Dhabi and consulate in Dubai.

The move is a step towards continuing to strengthen bilateral relations between the UAE and Qatar.

In 2017, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Egypt cut ties with Qatar.

However, after four years, in 2021 the Al Ula agreement was signed by the Arab countries to restore ties, with the move to reopen the embassies as part of the efforts to strengthen the bonds between the UAE and Qatar.
