ERC Donates Clothes Aid To Syria

WAM

The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) has distributed vouchers to buy clothes to people in Syria for Eid Al Adha.

Around 44,000 earthquake victims and cancer patients bought clothes in Homs, Aleppo, Hama and Lattakia in Syria, where the earthquake struck.

Over 11,000 vouchers were distributed, with each voucher valued at 500,000 Syrian pounds (Dhs 731), through which clothes for four people could be bought.

During Eid Al Adha, clothes are one of the gifts given to family members to mark the occasion.

The initiative is aimed at alleviating some of the sufferings of people affected by the earthquakes that struck on 6 February, leaving many displaced and without homes.
