On Saturday, 3 June, a third plane carrying medical aid for Sudan refugees, departed from International Humanitarian City (IHC) in Dubai.

The aid from the World Health Organisation (WHO) was shipped from the warehouses of IHC.

Transported on the C-130 aircraft, part of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and the Ruler of Dubai's personal fleet, the aid was sent to Aswan in Egypt, where medical aid is required for individuals from Sudan residing by the border.

The health supplies include kits to treat hypertension and diabetes, and paediatric kits to prevent malnutrition, which will provide immediate care for over 4,000 children.

The aid will provide the required care to over 49,000 individuals.
