The General Department for Anti-Narcotics at Dubai Police confiscated 238 kilograms of drugs and 6 million narcotic pills in Dubai during the first quarter of 2023.
The drugs seized ranged from cocaine, heroin, crystal meth, opium and marijuana.
Dubai Police have also assisted in international drug busts, which lead to the arrests of 65 suspects and the seizing of 842 kilograms of drugs.
Also Dubai Police, between January and March this year, blocked 208 social media accounts that were found promoting drugs.
Additional strategies and awareness programmes will be launched by Dubai Police to combat drug trafficking and raise awareness of the effects of the drugs.
