New Cycling Tunnel Opens

RTA

Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has opened a new cycling tunnel in Al Meydan at Nad Al Sheba.

The tunnel on the Meydan cycling track is 6.6 metres wide, spanning 160 metres, with a bicycle capacity of 800 per hour, and allows cyclists to enjoy a safe riding experience.

Landscapes of plateaus and hills with cyclists riding decorate the tunnel, with day and night lighting added to ensure clear visibility at all times.

The opening is in line with making Dubai a bicycle-friendly city and will continue to see improvements made to cycling tracks around the city.

By 2026, Dubai aims to increase the total length of cycling tracks to 819km.
