Having transitioned from London to Dubai after a decade-long career with Bain and Company, Reema faced challenges of settling in a new city. Recognising the need for a robust support system, the expat group- Indian Women Dubai was born, offering a platform for Indian women to connect, thrive in business, and embrace life in the vibrant emirate. Hailing from Chandigarh, India, Reema Mahajan has successfully grown a community of over 100,000 women in Dubai, with an impressive 62,000 members on the Facebook platform alone. Reflecting on the early days, Reema shared, “When I started this community on Facebook, our first meet-up comprised only 5 women, so yes, the journey had challenges, but it has been equally rewarding and empowering. Initially in Dubai, I struggled to understand the best schools for my kids, ideal residential areas, shopping destinations, and other basic aspects.
