The 1 Billion Meals initiative has distributed 36.7 million meals in Sudan, Jordan, Sahel and South Africa.
Over 14 million meals were distributed in 11 states in Sudan, with around 12 million meals supplied to people in Jordan.
In Mauritania, 6 million meals were given out in six areas.
Additionally, 4.5 million meals were donated in Senegal, Mali and Guinea, with 1.5 million meals distributed per country.
The initiative was started by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, during the Holy Month of Ramadan in 2022, and aims to provide food resources to people in need from over 50 countries.
