Abu Dhabi has removed the use of EDE scanners at malls and tourist locations.
Introduced during the pandemic, the scanners, used in public spaces as well as at land borders, were used to check the body temperature of an individual.
The decision to remove the scanners came into effect after the ease of COVID-19 restrictions including making face masks not mandatory.
The Green Pass on the Al Hosn App will still be in use, with a negative PCR test required to keep the status active for 30 days.
