UAE To Ease Restrictions In February

WAM

The National Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA) has announced that the UAE will gradually ease all COVID-19 restrictions.

The restrictions will be eased on all tourist, economic and entertainment facilities, transportation and shopping malls which will return to full capacity by mid-February.

The decision has been made due to the reduction in the number of cases as well as the spike in the vaccination and booster shot rates.

Distance measures at mosques and places of worship will be reduced to one metre with the situation monitored over the month, to decide if the social distance measures are to be cancelled or continued.

The Al Hosn App will still be in use and individuals are still urged to follow safety protocols including wearing face masks and washing and sanitising hands.

Capacity at social events including weddings and funerals will be increased with each emirate's local authorities deciding capacity.

Dubai's Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management has announced that all events, activities and gatherings will function at full capacity from 15 February.
