New Dhs 50 Note Now In Circulation

Central Bank of the UAE

The Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates (CBUAE) has announced that the new polymer Dhs 50 note will be a part of the official currency in the UAE.

The banknote was made in commemoration of 50 years of the UAE and will be used along with the paper banknote of the same value.

The note has been distributed to banks and exchange houses.

Polymer banknotes also have more security features than paper banknotes and are more environmentally friendly.

The note will last in circulation for a longer period of time and also have written in Braille to help individuals that are visually impaired identify the note.
