UAE Temporarily Suspends Entry Of UAE Residents Currently Abroad

The UAE government continues to put in measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus COVID-19.

In a new step, the government has temporarily suspended the entry of UAE resident visa holders, who are currently travelling abroad, and now won't be able to return to the country for the next 14 days. 

The new rule comes into effect at 12 noon today, Thursday, 19 March. 

If you are a UAE resident currently travelling abroad or have a family member with a UAE residenyts visa currently abroad, this is what you should do according to guidelines issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation:

- Those who are now staying in their countries of origin have to contact the UAE diplomatic missions in their respective nations for all necessary support and to streamline their return back to the UAE.

- Those who are currently outside the UAE for business reasons have to contact their employers here as well as the UAE diplomatic missions in their host countries for all necessary support to facilitate their return back to the UAE.

- Those who are now on vacation have to contact the UAE diplomatic missions in their respective host countries for all necessary support to facilitate their return back to the UAE.
