The 11th edition of the Beat Diabetes Walk is just around the corner and there is still time for you to register and take part in this established annual good cause initiative.
Retail, leisure and hospitality group, Landmark Group, will once again host the annual Beat Diabetes Walk on Friday, 15 November 2019, a 3 kilometre walk through Dubai’s Zabeel Park starting at Gate 3.
Registrations to take part in Beat Diabetes Walk 2019 can be done online at www.beatdiabetes.me, and registration is open until 11 November. Online registrations will receive a kit comprising of a Beat Diabetes t-shirt and cap delivered to them before the event by courier. If you miss the online registration deadline, you can register on the day of the walk itself between 7am and 8am, for the walk to start at 8am.
Registration is Dhs 20 for adults and children 15 years and over, Dhs 10 for children between 8 and 14 years old and for any children under 8 it is free. All the proceeds from registrations will go to Al Jalila Foundation to support diabetes research.
This years event has teamed up with the Dubai Fitness Challenge to serve as the closing ceremony of the 30-day challenge, and as part of that, those taking part can also take part in free fitness activities at Zabeel Park, including fitness workout hosted by Fitness First, yoga and a children’s zone where children can enjoy activities and fitness challenges.
