Sheikh Zayed Road Becomes Race Track

A section of the busy Sheikh Zayed Road, around the area of the Dubai World Trade Centre, will host a special Dubai Fitness Challenge fun run on Friday, 8 November.

Those who love to run at different locations can now happily tick off the most buzzing 14 lane highway off their race track bucket list. Don’t worry, safety has been taken into consideration as no car will be allowed to use the dedicated running track on the day itself.

The free to attend DFC Dubai Run 30x30 on Sheikh Zayed Road lets runners choose between a 5km fun race and a little more serious race of 10km, with both routes starting and ending at Dubai World Trade Centre.

The 5km fun run is open to all ages, abilities and fitness levels, also accommodating strollers and wheelchairs, and the 10km run is for running enthusiasts who are 18 years or older.

Registration is a must for all attendees who are 8 years and above for the 5km fun run and 18 years and above for the 10km run. Children under 8 years old do not need to sign up to take part in the 5km fun run.
