Two winners in Dubai have won Dhs 3.67 million prize at the Dubai Duty Free raffle draw on 22 October.
One winner, Kamalasanan Nadar Vasu, a Dubai resident originally from India, bought winning ticket 3318 from the series 314 when he was travelling home to Trivandrum, Kerala.
Vasu, 56, will share half the prize money with his friend who bought the ticket with him, and will use his share of the prize money to settle his debt of Dhs 900,000.
Vasu has been living in Dubai for the last 35 years and has a business of steel fabrication. He gathered a massive debt when his business went down in 2018. After settling the debt, Vasu plans to use the remaining money in his business.
Vasu has been participating in the Dubai Duty Free draw for the last eight years.
The other winner of the Dubai Duty Free One Million Dollar Raffle Draw is a Kazakhstan national Khussain Yeremeshev, with winning ticket is 3614 from series number 313. Yeremeshev bought his winning ticket online.
