Dubai Fitness Challenge Is Back

It is almost that time of the year when every single Dubai resident is encouraged to get motivated and do something to increase and improve their activity and fitness.

The annual month long exercise event, Dubai Fitness Challenge, led by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, is set to return for its third edition from 18 October to 16 November.

The 30-day calendar is expected to be jam packed with a wide range of active events, sports, health and wellness programmes.

The event was launched in year 2017 to inspire Dubai residents to choose a healthier lifestyle and asked them to do any exercise for 30 minutes over 30 days, even if it included a simple walk. The third edition of the challenge with 30x30 motto returns with the aim to make Dubai the world’s most active city in the world.

Last year in 2018, the event saw a 34 percent increase in participation from 2017 with participants crossing the 1 million mark.

This year’s challenge will again see dedicated fitness villages, community-centric fitness hubs, free facilities and sport zones spread across different venues in the city to make the challenge more accessible to families, friends, colleagues and communities.

What’s new this year is the DFC 2019 edition is putting an elevated focus on health and wellness, making it a more holistic offering.

Those who are interested to take part can download the DFC app now and start to track their progress.
