Sharjah Ramadan Festival To Begin On 8 March

As the Holy Month of Ramadan approaches, the UAE gears up for a festive celebration with various pop-ups and markets for residents and tourists. Following Global Village's announcement of revised Ramadan timings and a Ramadan Souq in Dubai, Sharjah joins the festivities with its 34th edition of the Sharjah Ramadan Festival 2024.

Organised by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the 37-day event will run from 8 March to 13 April. Participating shopping centres, destinations, and retail stores will offer marketing, entertainment, and heritage activities, extending the festivities to cities and suburbs across the emirate. Visitors can expect discounts, draws, competitions, and recreational activities, all embodying the unique spirit of Ramadan.

Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, emphasised that the Sharjah Ramadan Festival has become a vital catalyst for stimulating the Emirate's economic landscape, particularly the retail sector, a cornerstone of the Emirate's economic activity. Abdullah Sultan Al Owais stressed that the festival will invigorate the tourism sector, thereby strengthening the broader business community, and highlighted how the event offers entertainment and heritage events to create an ambience for Ramadan, spreading joy among Sharjah’s residents and visitors and fostering social and cultural engagement.
