Green Pass Needed At Federal Departments

Abu Dhabi Media Office

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) along with the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA) has announced that all government employees, as well as individuals looking for government services, will have to have a green pass on the Al Hosn App for access to federal departments.

The implementation of the pass will come into effect from 3 January 2022.

To get the green pass, two doses of a UAE approved vaccine must be taken along with a negative PCR test, taken within 14 days.

Individuals that have received their last vaccination six months prior will have to receive a booster shot to maintain the status.

Individuals that have received exemptions from the vaccine will have to get a negative PCR test every 7 days to maintain the green pass.

Children aged 16 and under do not need to get PCR tests done.

Unvaccinated individuals will have a grey status on the app and will not be able to access federal government departments.

The initiative is in line with ensuring public safety amid the surge of new variants of the virus.
