  • 81% want to see the great outdoors being brought inside, with green spaces, and plant life an integral part of their chosen accommodation.

This surge in curiosity is due to the rise of gastro-tourism offerings that integrate history, geography, and local produce to craft delectable travel experiences for visitors.

Furthermore, over 85% express a desire to indulge in indigenous cuisines, contribute to local economies and foster a sense of pride within those communities.

UAE Residents And Citizens Want To Opt For Closer Destinations And 'Me Time'

Approximately 70% aim to reduce vacation expenses by selecting destinations where daily living costs are lower or opting for closer destinations to avoid the expenses of long-distance flights. However, they are willing to invest in short-term luxury encounters upon arrival, with 62% preferring to pay for a day pass to access a five-star resort rather than booking a stay.

Lastly, in 2024, 70% of UAE residents and citizens intend to use their holiday as an opportunity for self-reflection and personal reinvention.
