On 9 September, a massive 6.8 magnitude earthquake hit the High Atlas Mountains south of Marrakesh, Morocco. As per the United Nations, the terrifying quake has affected over 300,000 people so far. And to stand in solidarity with Morocco and its people, UAE's iconic landmarks, Dubai's Burj Khalifa and Abu Dhabi's ADNOC building, lit up in Morocco’s red and green flag to show the UAE’s support for the victims of the earthquake.

The displayed message read, “From the UAE… Our deepest condolences to the Moroccan people. Our thoughts are with Morocco.”

The UAE media office took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share the video.

Besides this, according to WAM, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, directed Dubai Police’s rescue teams to send urgent aid to support rescue efforts in Morocco.
