Motorcylist Fined For Reckless Driving In Dubai

Dubai Police has fined a motorcyclist Dhs 50,000 and given 23 black points for reckless driving. 

The motorcyclist was performing stunts on the road, which were seen on a video that went viral across social media.

On seeing the video, Dubai Police where able to locate the biker. As a result, his motorcycle was impounded and the biker received a fine of Dhs 50,000 and 23 black points, for endangering his life and putting others at risk.

Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazroui, Director of the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police said, "The video captured a motorcyclist engaging in dangerous behaviour, riding amidst vehicles and performing stunts on one wheel, putting their safety and the safety of other road users at serious risk."

Over the past seven months, 22,115 motorcyclists in Dubai have violated traffic regulations, with 858 motorcycles confiscated. 

Dubai Police encourages the public to report reckless drivers and motorcyclists by calling 901 or through the 'Police Eye' service on the Dubai Police app.
