A driver found tailgating and overtaking on Sheikh Zayed Road has been fined Dhs 50,000 and received 23 black points by the Dubai Police.
In a video released by Dubai Police, the driver can be seen driving close to another vehicle, before overtaking and pressing the brakes, causing the car behind to swerve.
Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazroui, Director of the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police said, "They carefully monitored, recorded the reckless driver's actions, and chose the opportune moment to bring him to a stop safely."
The driver was then fined Dhs 50,000, received 23 black points and had their car impounded, for endangering their life and putting others at risk.
Dubai Police advises drivers to follow road safety and drive with caution.
