Volunteers Pack Backpacks For Children In Need

WAM

As part of the Dubai Cares 'Back To School' volunteering initiative, 7,000 school kits were packed, to support children from low-income families as well as orphans, before the start of the new academic year.

The event was held at Jafza One Convention Center in Jebel Ali, along with logistics company DP World, where school backpacks with essentials required for daily learning including notebooks, pencils, sharpeners, erasers and ball pens, were packed.

The school kits will be distributed to children in need across the various emirates.

Nabil Qayed, Senior Vice President of Corporate Support at DP World GCC said, "Education is one of the core pillars of our sustainability strategy at DP World. As a firm believer in giving back to society, we are honoured to sponsor Dubai Cares 'Back to School' initiative in 2023. Every child should have access to quality education and all the materials and equipment they need to be able to learn and grow. When a community unites around such causes, transformative change becomes possible."
