Communication Lost With Rashid Rover

Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) has announced that communication was lost with the Rashid Rover.

Ground control was unable to make contact with the HAKUTO-R lander, which was carrying the Rashid Rover, while attempting to land on the moon.

Set to be the first Arab mission to land on the lunar surface, the mission still saw commendable efforts and became the first Emirati and Arab rover to enter the moon's orbit.

In a statement released by MBRSC, "After getting this close to the moon, the MBRSC team is inspired and believes the greater accomplishments are yet to come in our pursuit of space exploration."

The Rashid Rover was expected to land at 8.40pm on 25 April, and then spend 10 to 12 days exploring the lunar surface.
