Sheikh Hamdan Visits Field Hospital At DWTC

The field hospital set up at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) has been visited by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, during a tour on Saturday 18 April.

During his visit His Highness Sheikh Hamdan was accompanied by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai’s Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management.

The field hospital has been set up and can be expanded to a capacity of 3,000 beds and ensures that Dubai is fully prepared for all possible scenarios in the effort to contain the spread of coronavirus COVID-19. It is able to treat mild to moderate cases, and any critical cases will be transferred to main hospitals to receive intensive treatment. 

During his visit His Highness Sheikh Hamdan thanked all frontline workers involved in the fight to contain the spread of coronavirus COVID-19.
