The Estée Lauder BCA Campaign

The Estée Lauder Companies’ 2015 Breast Cancer Awareness (BCA) Campaign empowers people worldwide to take action to help defeat breast cancer with the call-to-action “Every Action Counts. What’s Yours?” The 2015 BCA Campaign celebrates all the things we do, big or small, in the fight against breast cancer and invites people to show how they take action on BCAcampaign.com and social media channels, and support lifesaving breast cancer research by making a donation to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF).

Over the past two decades, The Estée Lauder Companies’ BCA Campaign, launched by the late Evelyn H. Lauder, co-creator of the Pink Ribbon and founder of BCRF, has been a leading voice for breast cancer awareness around the world, sparking a global movement that has helped save millions of lives and fund groundbreaking breast cancer research. Today, The BCA Campaign is active in more than 70 countries and has raised more than USD 58 million to support global research, education and medical services, with nearly USD 46 million funding 185 BCRF research projects worldwide in the past 21 years. These funds have directly resulted in significant innovations and improvements in care, from the launch of an early-phase breast cancer vaccine trial to improved ways to assess risk in young girls from families with multiple cases of breast cancer. This year, The BCA Campaign is committed to raising USD 6 million to support breast cancer research, education and medical services worldwide and continuing to evolve its focus from enhanced awareness to increased action.

At the core of The 2015 BCA Campaign is a global, interactive digital experience, brought to life through BCAcampaign.com and social media @BCAcampaign. Consumers are encouraged to share how they take action in the fight against breast cancer by posting a photo, video or message on BCAcampaign.com or on Instagram or Twitter using #BCAstrength. For every action submitted on BCAcampaign.com or unique post on Instagram or Twitter with #BCAstrength between 1st October 2015 and World Cancer Day on 4th February 2016, The Estée Lauder Companies will donate USD 25 to fund a half-hour of breast cancer research through BCRF, with the goal of funding up to 500 research hours (USD 25,000) through the support of their global digital community. This is just one part of The BCA Campaign’s broader global fundraising efforts to support breast cancer research, education and medical services worldwide. Throughout the year, actions submitted from around the world will be curated and featured on BCAcampaign.com to showcase the power of collective efforts to defeat breast cancer.

For the first time, The Estée Lauder Companies’ BCA Campaign is enlisting the support of its global community to curate an international, multimedia project that will be unveiled worldwide on World Cancer Day, 4th February 2016. All actions submitted on BCAcampaign.com between 1st October and 31st December 2015 will be eligible for inclusion. This inspiring project will beautifully capture the range of actions being taken around the world to end this disease and will serve as inspiration for individuals to continue to do their part.

Beginning in October 2015, regional activations in the Middle East include:

  • Bringing awareness to the importance of early detection and breast health globally by distributing educational brochures and millions of Pink Ribbons at Estée Lauder Companies’ brand counters worldwide, as well as through www.BCAcampaign.com and social media @BCAcampaign
  • Implement a new social and digital experience inviting people around the world to share how they are taking action to bring us closer to a world without breast cancer at www.BCAcampaign.com or on Instagram or Twitter using #BCAstrength
