A series of projects will be implemented to develop Hatta in an effort to enhance the well-being of residents and create unique experiences for visitors.

Launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the projects will focus on the social, economic and educational development of the region over the next 20 years.

New public and shared mobility solutions, including express bus services from Dubai city to Hatta, rentals of vehicles, mobility hubs, e-hail services and electric scooters, as well as quick traffic solutions for roads and parking in key tourist sites and parks, will be launched.

The first phase of a track for cycles and mountain bikes from the Hatta bus station to Hatta Dam is currently underway, and a mountain bike path that connects the transportation stations at Al Tallah Park and Al Wadi Park, passing through Hatta’s archaeological sites and Wadi Hub, will also be added.

Over 13,000 indigenous trees will be planted in different areas to increase the greenery in Hatta.

The Hatta Souq, will provide a platform for farmers and local residents to sell their products.

Incorporating traditional and contemporary architectural designs, the Souq is being built using both manmade and natural construction materials, with spaces for cafes, restaurants and entertainment areas.

The Crystal Lagoon, an artificial lake with a beach area, and the waterfront of Hatta Beach will also provide leisure and entertainment facilities, services, and activities for tourists.

The ‘Hatta, The Highlands of Dubai’ campaign has been launched, which aims to highlight the attractions, activities and experiences that make the region one of Dubai’s most distinctive destinations, highlighting the pleasant climate and breathtaking natural beauty of the picturesque mountain region.
