PCR Tests No Longer Required For Entry Into Qatar

The Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) in Qatar has announced that PCR tests or antigen tests are no longer required for visitors to enter Qatar.

However, it is mandatory to provide the health status of the visitor on the Ehteraz application, when entering healthcare facilities in Qatar.

The decision will come into effect on 1 November.

Citizens and residents of Qatar are also no longer required to take the rapid antigen test or the PCR test 24 hours after arrival in Qatar.

Precautionary measures by residents and visitors need to be followed, including being fully vaccinated and testing if COVID-19 symptoms are experienced.

The announcement comes in anticipation of the major sporting event, the FIFA World Cup 2022, being held in Qatar.

During the World Cup, entry into Qatar will not be permitted to individuals without the Hayya card.
