Football Themed Educational Game Launched

FIFA World Cup 2022 is right around the corner, and Visa, along with Edfundo, the world's first family financial education and money management app, has launched an educational video game called 'Financial Football'.

As some children learn better through interactive activities, the game will increase their financial understanding through a football game.

Players can choose the team of their choice and will have to answer questions on money management, to win the game.

The game also has a feature to showcase how small businesses function, with questions on starting and managing a business, budgeting and more.

Currently available in three languages, English, Arabic or Spanish, additional languages, including Chinese, Japanese, Korean, French, Italian, German, Russian and Portuguese, will be added shortly.

Simon Wing, Co-Founder and CEO of Edfundo said, "Edfundo is very proud to be a partner of Visa. Not just for today’s event but also for our shared goal of raising awareness and improving financial education for young people in the UAE and beyond. As a former teacher, I know that learning through games is a real motivator for students and having played this game myself, I have to say very well done to Visa. It looks great!"

The game was launched at the headquarters in Dubai and saw 10 students from various schools in Dubai, playing a friendly match together.

Visa, along with other organisations, aims to make the game available in over 100 markets around the world.

The game is available to download online from the Financial Soccer website or from App Store and Google Play.
