Emirates Literature Foundation To Host Competitions For Students

WAM

Emirates Literature Foundation has announced that the competitions for school are now open for 2023.

The competitions will celebrate readers, storytellers, poetry performers and captivating handwriting.

Students will be able to showcase their poetry performances at the Emirates NBD sponsored Poetry For All Competition, young writers displaying their writing skills in the Oxford University Press Story Writing Competition and penmanship highlighted in the Royal Grammar School (RGS) Guildford Dubai Children's Letter Writing Competition.

Additionally, at the Chevron Readers' Cup, students will compete to display their knowledge and understanding on various books.

The competitions are open to all full-time students in Arabic and English.

The finals and award ceremonies for the competitions will be held at the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature in 2023 with preliminary rounds held prior.

Isobel Abulhoul, CEO of the Emirates Literature Foundation said, "Our competitions are a highlight on the school calendar. They are hugely popular with students, parents, and teachers. They allow young people the chance to expand their love of reading, create their own inspirational stories and wow the judges with their public speaking skills. Plus, it gives them the special opportunity to engage with a like-minded community that loves and appreciates books and literature."

Participants can register via the Emirates Literature Foundation website.
