Dubai Municipality has issued guidelines for children swimming at hotel pools.
Children under the age of five years old must have a supervising adult guardian with them at all times.
Based on the area of the pool, the number of children and if the pool is crowded, enough lifeguards should be present.
Lifeguards must have the right qualifications for rescuing and pool supervision, and will not be allowed to do any other tasks.
Life jackets must be worn by children at all times and they should be encouraged to stay in the shallow areas.
Additionally, all safety signs should be made visible in English and Arabic.
