The population of Dubai has crossed the 3.5 million people mark. According to the Dubai Statistics Center (DSC) population clock, the population of Dubai stands at 3,500,544 on Saturday 23 April.

Dubai populations has been growing at a steady rate for many years with the number of people living in the emirate exceeding 3 million four years ago in the first quarter of 2018.

Even over the years of the pandemic Dubai's population increased year on year, with the population growing from 3,355,900 tto 3,411,200 from the end of 2019 to the end of 2020, and to 3,478,300 to the end of 2021.

The population growth mirrors the figures announced for the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) that the number of children enrolled in Dubai's private schools exceeded 300,000, an increase of just under 5% from September 2021 to January 2022.

Dubai Government has set plans to grow the population to 5.8 million by 2040.
