The National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) has announced that individuals are advised to take the booster shot for the Pfizer-BioNTech and Sputnik V vaccines.
The booster shots are available for individuals over the age of 18, that have received both their vaccine doses six months prior.
Individuals are encouraged to take booster shots amid the new strain of the pandemic, in an effort to boost their immunity against the virus.
The booster shot is also available for individuals that have received both doses of the Sinopharm vaccine.
Senior citizens as well as people with chronic illnesses are advised to take booster shots.
The public is also encouraged to follow all safety precautions including wearing face masks, sanitising hands as well as maintaining physical distance.
