Shops Closed For Annoying Promotional Campaigns

The Commercial Compliance and Consumer Protection sector in Dubai Economy has announced that 95 shops and kiosks have been fined, with 10 closed for interrupting consumers and forcing them to buy products as part of their promotional campaigns.

91 fines and 96 warnings were issued to violators at various shopping malls.

Additionally, 4 fines and 9 warnings were issued in the open markets.

The initiative was taken in order to ensure that the consumer has a good shopping experience.

Individuals are urged to issue complaints about any annoying promotional activities in the markets.

A complaint can be issued either on the Dubai Economy website, the Dubai Consumer app or by calling 60055555.
