With the highly-anticipated ICC Men’s T20 World Cup being held in Oman and the UAE, Emirates has unveiled a new themed A380 livery.

The livery features pink and yellow figures batting and bowling against a purple backdrop.

Over 100 Emirates Engineering employees were involved in the installation of the special decal.

The decal on the aircraft made its first trip to Mauritius and over the course of the next few months, will fly across the Emirates A380 network, as well as the 12 countries playing in the tournament.

At the unveiling of the livery to the players, a mini-cricket match, umpired by Indian international cricketer Shikhar Dhawan was played and the ICC Men’s T20 Cricket World Cup trophy was also put on display with employees at Emirates able to take pictures with the trophy.

The ICC T20 Men’s Cricket World Cup is the largest cricket event to be held since the beginning of the pandemic.

Anurag Dahiya, Chief Commercial Officer of International Cricket Council (ICC) said, “It is fantastic to see the ICC Men’s T20 World come to life with this themed A380 livery, what better way to spread the appeal of the event than to transport it around the world with our long-standing partner Emirates. It has been more than five years since the last Men’s T20 and the sense of excitement and anticipation is building with fans as the world’s best players descend on Oman and the UAE to compete for the ultimate prize in the shortest format of the game.”
