The National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority has announced updates to the protocals in place for attending mosques as well as praying areas.
Individuals going to mosques need to maintain a distance of 1.5 metres, which has been reduced from 2 metres.
If a death is not COVID-19 related, 50 individuals can attend funeral prayers.
Ablution spaces and prayers areas will stay closed on external roads.
The reopening of mosques has come into effect gradually over recent months enable the return to normal life.
