PCR Test Requirements To Attend Classes

WAM

The Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) has announced the PCR test requirements for private and charter schools for the new academic year.

All students from private and charter schools including students of determination must get a negative PCR test or saliva test before classes commence.

The 14-day test result must remain valid throughout the first month from back to school.

Teachers, administrative staff and third-party contractors must also produce a negative PCR test.

Free PCR tests for students aged 12 and above as well as school staff are available at the designated testing centres on a specific date for each school.

Testing schedules have been sent with parents required to contact the school to receive the information to ensure all the PCR test results are available for when classes begin.

All private or public centres in Abu Dhabi will offer free testing to students aged 12 and below as well as for students of determination.

An alternate for the PCR test is also available for children in the age group to get a saliva test instead.

Emirates ID must be presented with the medical staff aware that the test is required for school.
