In an initiative taken by the Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), taxis will now bear the name of the driver at the top of each car.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, with the use of masks and distancing, knowing the name of the person driving the taxi was not possible.
To help recognise taxi drivers for their efforts, RTA has added the name of the taxi driver to the top of the taxi.
Passengers that use taxis will know the name of the driver as they enter the taxi through this initiative, and will promote conversations between the two.
