The Dubai Autism Center has announced the launch of the 15th Autism Awareness Campaign in Dubai to coincide with World Autism Awareness Day on 2 April.
The initiative has been launched to raise awareness of autism and the effects on families, as well as to promote acceptance among individuals.
The month long campaign will feature events and activities focused on bringing awareness to autism.
The Autism Awareness Campaign will help individuals with autism achieve social inclusion and provide a supportive environment that meets their needs.
Held annually, the campaign will be heavily promoted this year and with the aim to help minimise the challenges faced by families and provide a gateway for the inclusion of all individuals with autism.
Multiple awareness webinars have been organised in schools and public departments to highlight the importance of social inclusion and to help alleviate the challenges individuals with autism face.
Landmarks will also light up in blue on 2 April to mark World Autism Awareness Day.
