Martian Ink Passport Stamp In The UAE

Visitors entering the UAE are now getting a 'Martian Ink' stamp in their passports in commemoration of the Hope Probe entering the Mars Orbit at 7.42pm today.

The 'Martian Ink' used to stamp visitor's passports is extracted from volcanic basalt rocks that give Mars its distinctive red colour. The rocks were collected by gemologists and experts, ground into a fine paste, dried in the sun and were then mixed with adhesives to create the stamp.

The stamp also includes a special message to visitors saying 'You've arrived in the Emirates. The Emirates is arriving at Mars on 09.02.2021'.

The Hope Probe is the first Arab interplanetary mission and upon entering the Mars Orbit will get a view of the Martian atmosphere.
