Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has resumed Dubai-Sharjah intercity bus routes with two of the three services having started on Sunday. The third one is expected to resume two weeks later.

The first route, E303 starts from the Union Metro Station in Dubai and heads to Al Jubail Bus Station in Sharjah. E307A, the second route, takes commuters from the Abu Hail Metro Station in Dubai to Al Jubail Bus Station in Sharjah.

The third route, E315, starts from Etisalat Metro Stations in Dubai and heads to Muwaileh Bus Station in Sharjah. This service will resume operations in October.

Adel Sharkri, Director of Planning and Business Development, Public Transport Agency, RTA, said: “The three routes are vital for the integration of public transport networks between Dubai and Sharjah. These routes are transitional to riders returning to Sharjah starting their journey off three Metro stations in Dubai.”

Intercity bus services in Dubai and Sharjah had been suspended as a precautionary measure against the spread of COVID-19.

Safety measures will continue to be implemented by RTA and bus riders have been urged to comply with COVID-19 regulations including physical distancing and wearing face masks.
