UAE’s TRA Clarifies New iOS 14 Feature That Detects Apps Accessing Camera Or Microphone

If you can’t figure out the two new green or yellow dots that have been appearing on your iPhone screen over the past two days, UAE’s Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has issued a notice to clarify this new feature.

The new security feature is a part of Apple’s new operating system, iOS 14, and serves an important purpose for iPhone users.

"When you see the green or orange dot on the top of the iPhone screen after updating to iOS 14, that is an alert that the app you're using has started to use either your camera (green) or microphone (orange)," TRA explained.
