Dubai Starts To Open Museums

As part of Dubai Government’s decision from 27 May to increase business activity across the emirate, Dubai Culture and Arts Authority has announced that from 1 June, museums in Dubai will start to open in a phased manner. From 1 June, Al Shindagha Museum and Etihad Museum will be open 10am to 5pm each daily, and the Coins Museum will be open from 8am to 2pm from Sunday through to Thursday.

All museums will open at 50% visitor capacity and children under 12 and those 60 and over will not be allowed to enter. Groups are restricted to a maximum of 5 people each.


As part of its commitment to enforcing all preventive measures to ensure the wellbeing of visitors and museum employees, a;; facilities will be follow strict sterilisation routines, social distancing rules will be in place where visitors will be asked to maintain a distance of two metres from other people. All visitors and staff will have to wear face masks and undergo thermal screening before entering. any suspected cases will moved to designated isolation .

Tickets can be bought online and in advance through the At The Top, Burj Khalifa ticketing portal and ticket offices at the museums will be open, however visitors are advised to use NoL or credit cards when buying tickets to avoid the handling cash.
