The UAE's Ministry of Human Resources has announced that the dates for the forthcoming Eid Al Fitr holidays for the private sector will be from Ramadan 29 to Shawwal 3, in accordance with the Islamic calendar, and shall be paid holiday. Though not confirmed, Ramadan 29 is expected to fall on Friday 22 May and Shawwal 3 is expected to fall on Tuesday, 26 May, which would mean a five-day long weekend for the private sector in the UAE.
This is further to the announcement made recently for the Eid Al Fitr holidays for the public sector.
