Huda Supports Freelance Make-Up Artists

Huda Beauty Facebook Page

Amid all the news of flight cancellations, malls and eateries closing and events being postponed as preventive measures against COVID-19, Huda Beauty founder, Huda Kattan, has shared a heartfelt video on the Instagram page of Huda Beauty to announce financial support to 100 freelance make-up artists.

Kattan who started her career as a freelance make-up artist and later established the successful make-up brand Huda Beauty, speaks about the financially tough time everyone is going through and how challenging it is for people who literally rely on their day to day income to pay their bills.

Even though we would like to change the world it does not happen if we do not take small steps first, and doing her bit, Kattan has announced to give away $1,000 (Dhs 3,670) to 100 freelance make-up artists. She has invited everyone to tag a freelance make-up artist who they think deserve financial support and why.

Here's what she has to say. Do listen to her, and support local and small businesses around you as much as you can. Applicatuons will be closed 12.00am (Gulf Standard Time) on 25 March.

The post caption reads, "WE ARE GIVING $100K TO FREELANCE MUAS. I want to kick-start the way that we’re giving back by shining a spotlight on some amazing makeup artists and giving cash to some MUAs who may be struggling right now. So we’ll be giving away $1,000 USD to 100 of you amazing freelance makeup artists! Please tag a freelance MUA that you know who is finding these times tough & share why you’ve put them forward. Please stay safe & healthy, I love you all *Entries will be closed 12:00am Gulf Standard Time on March 25th, info to follow."
