The Ministry of Health and Prevention and the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority have announced the closure of public and private beaches, parks, swimming pools, movie theatres, sports halls and lounges for a period of two weeks starting today, Sunday 22 March.

Food and Beverage outlets will continue home delivery services during the closure period, however, they have been asked to reduce the seating capacity to 20 per cent to reduce social contact. According to the WAM, the government news agency, a physical distance of two metres between customers, in addition to other sanitation and public hygiene measures, must be ensured.

Outdoor and self-order kiosks are exempted.
