A residency visa for 18-year-old dependents can now be renewed for up to two consecutive years has been announced by the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship on Wednesday evening.
The residence visa will be valid for one year and can be renewed for an additional year.
The new visa can be applied from the date the dependant completes secondary education, graduates from university or turns 18 years old.
With this new visa modification, guardians can save on the Dhs 5,000 deposit required to apply for an 18-year old dependants’ visa.
Applicants can visit government approved outlets for residency permits and renewals. The visa will be issued against a fee of Dhs 100.
