Footballing superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo is visiting the UAE this week and pictures of him have appeared on social media enjoying his stay, including images of him relaxing on a yacht and pictures of him with his fiancee and son, Cristiano Jnr, in front of the Burj Al Arab as the New Year fireworks usher in 2019.
During his visit, the Portugal and Juventus footballer also met up with his Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai. Both shared pictures of their meeting on Instagram, and showed mutual admiration for each other. In the picture Ronaldo posted to his Instagram account, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan is seen giving the footballer the thumbs up with the words “Great time together @Faz3” captioned, and along with the picture on the Crown Prince own Instagram account, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan added “A great player and a great friend”.
Ronaldo is able to visit Dubai this time of year as the Italian football league, Serie A, benefits from a winter break over the holiday season. The footballer is also expected to attend the Globe Soccer Awards held in Dubai on 3 January, where he is nominated for the Best Player Award, an award he has already won on 4 occasions.
