Salik Gate At Jebel Ali Open

A new toll on Sheikh Zayed Road in Jebel Ali near the Energy Metro Station is now operational and Salik is charged to motorists passing through the toll gate on both directions, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai has said.

Motorists will be charged the usual Dhs 4 through their Salik account, and this takes the number of toll gates on Sheikh Zayed Road to four and a total of seven across Dubai.

The RTA said, “The new Salik gate will help divert traffic to Yalayis Road and other parallel freeways. After the new Salik is operational, a portion of the usual traffic is expected to be diverted to alternative roads such as Emirates Road, Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Road, Sheikh Zayed Bin Hamdan Road and Al Khail Road.”
